ARDBEG DAY WILL BE HERE IN…
YOUR LOCAL ARDBEG DAY EVENTS – ALL IS REVEALED
The depths around Ardbeg Distillery are full of legends of the creatures that inhabit them.
Indeed, the kelp seaweed forests that surround our shores are home to more than the fish that weave between the tangled fronds. Hearsay tells us that mysterious Selkies (mermaids), fearsome seaweed creatures and shape-shifting Kelpies have, from time to time, emerged from the depths to prey on villagers and unwitting travellers…
This Ardbeg Day, we’ll be bringing those legends to life. And no doubt creating a few of our own.
Sign up for a chance to take a trip around Islay, travelling under the sea to race selkies, sampling a taste of the seas bounty, before finally catching a glimpse of the Kelpie.

CATCH OUR 2017 LIMITED EDITION BOTTLING: ARDBEG KELPIE
Ardbeg Kelpie is named for the legends of the sea around Ardbeg.
Its powerful aromas of oily peat, salty seaweed and tarry rope have been produced by virgin oak casks from the Black Sea, intermingled with the hallmark Ardbeg flavour profile. Waves of spicy black pepper give way to a delectable tide of bacon and dark chocolate. Incredibly deep. It is non chill-filtered and bottled at 46% ABV.
You can catch a taste of the Kelpie at all of our events, but it can be a slippery beast to get a hold of. They often appear on moonless nights, so keep an eye on your local liquor store around the end of June.
